Step 1: BOM (bill of Materials) For this Instructable you will need: 1 - LM7805 voltage regulator. 1 - Capacitor with the value of 0.33uF. 1 - Capacitor with the value of 0.1uF. 1 - 9 volt battery. 1 - 2.2 volt Red LED (you can use a different colored LED if you'd like, but then your final results may differ from what is displayed in the photos
It acts like potentiometer and output's voltage varies between 0 (0 bar pressure) and 5 volts (2.5 bar pressure). I would like to make the simplest possible circuit to limit the output voltage from the sensor to 4.5 volts, instead of 5v: INPUT - OUTPUT. 0.5v - 0.5v. 3v - 3v. 4.5v - 4.5v. 5v - 4.5v. Jan 28, 2016 at 1:36 3 Just FYI, the symbol in 19V⎓3.42A (two horizontal lines, top line solid, bottom line broken) is Unicode U+2393 ⎓ "direct current symbol form two". It means 19 volts DC. If the supply was labeled 19V~3.42A that would mean 19Vrms AC instead of 19V DC. – MarkU

It is compact, temperature, voltage and current stabilised and give a good reference voltage regardless of input (within limits) provides 1A and is cheap as chips (cheaper in fact). I use the all the time and managed to get 50 (in a tape) for £1.22! They also do different form factors and output voltages (i also use the 5V version).

33,594. Jan 16, 2019. #2. The AAs or AAA's have more Ah capacity than a 9V, so will last longer. The 9V also wastes more energy when dropped to 5V. Note that if you run on four alkalines, which give 6V, you will need a very low dropout regulator for 5V output. C. Thread Starter. ezkl7r. 1033093158223134342023034
